Joint Workshop of Academy-University-Company 2018

The 1. Joint Strategic Workshop for improving the Academy, University and Companies cooperation was held on 15. May 2018 on Institute of Materials and Machine Mechanics of SAS.

Aim:

The aim of this event was to present characterization methods used to monitor and characterize microstructures of materials. Special attention was paid to scanning electron microscopy and chemical analyzes. Based on a correctly selected characterization method, it is possible to quickly and effectively detect the origin of the defects or to understand the relationship between production, structure and material properties. Such an understanding results, for example, in reducing operating costs, maintenance costs. By understanding this relationship, it is possible to increase the competitiveness of the business entity.

Target group:

This workshop is designed for all industry, academic and university staff, as well as for students interested in metals and metal composites and interested in obtaining information on possible cooperation.
