Strengthening international cooperation: Bratislava hosted representatives of SNMT and SOCIEMAT
To strengthen international cooperation in new materials research, representatives of two European societies focused on materials research met in Bratislava. The president of SOCIEMAT, Juan José de Damborenea, met with the vice president of the Slovak Society for New Materials and Technologies (SNMT), Dr. Martin Nosko and secretary of society Dr. Alena Opálková Šišková. They discussed the possibilities of joint organizing conferences, workshops, and exchange stays for young researchers.
'This cooperation is crucial for us not only in terms of the exchange of expertise but also for the support of young talents in the field of research into new materials. We believe that through joint activities, we can significantly contribute to the development of young researchers, added Dr. A. Opálková Šišková.
Both parties expressed interest in intensifying cooperation and shared a common interest in international support for research and development of new materials. Both companies are members of the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS).
